Cool Cure C Series: Setup & Operating Guide

📍 Unit Setup

Choosing a Location

Place your Cool Cure in a room with an ambient temperature between 45°F (7°C) and 100°F (38°C). The unit adjusts internal temperature 6–10°F from ambient, so starting within this range ensures optimal performance.

Powering Up

Once plugged in, the Cool Cure enters Standby Mode and immediately begins regulating internal temperature and dew point automatically — no manual configuration needed.

🌸 Preparing Your Harvest

The Cool Cure handles up to 2.5 lbs (1.13 kg) of wet flower per Dry Cycle. Exceeding this limit can extend drying time and affect results.

To manage water weight before loading:

• Consider hang drying for up to 24 hours before loading
• Wet trim to remove excess moisture-retaining material
• Remove large stems and branches to maximize usable tray space
• Weigh your flower before loading to avoid overloading

🛠️ Loading the Unit

Tray Setup

• Use the 6 stainless steel trays provided.
• Spread flower evenly — touching is fine, but avoid stacking layers
• Load all flower at once to ensure uniform moisture removal across the batch

Starting the Dry Cycle

Press Start and let the unit run. Avoid opening the door during the cycle — each opening disrupts internal vapor pressure and can affect drying consistency.

💧 Dew Point & the Dry Cycle

When you first load wet flower, expect a spike in dew point — this is completely normal. As the unit removes moisture, the dew point will stabilize and gradually drop. You'll also notice water collecting in the drip tray.

Drying time varies based on load size and starting moisture content. Loads near the 2.5 lb limit will take longer than lighter loads.

🧽 The Sponge Cup

After the first 24 hours of the Dry Cycle, add the sponge cup to the unit. This maintains ideal moisture levels for curing and long-term storage.

How to Prepare the Sponge

• Fully saturate the sponge with water
• Squeeze out excess water firmly
• Let it drip for a brief moment before placing in the cup

Re-wetting Schedule

Re-wet the sponge every 3–4 days, adjusting based on ambient humidity and how often the door is opened.

🧼 Drip Tray Maintenance

The drip tray is located on the front of the unit just underneath the door. Keep it clear to prevent overflow and ensure effective moisture removal.

🔄 Flower Rotation (Optional)

Rotating flower every 24 hours is not required, but it can help prevent flat spotting — particularly with larger, denser buds.

Some growers choose to leave a few extra sugar leaves on their flower before loading. These act as a natural cushion and can reduce contact flattening on the tray surface.

🔁 Transition to Cure Cycle

As drying nears completion, the Cool Cure automatically transitions into Cure Cycle settings — no manual input is needed. During this transition, the internal dew point gradually shifts:

• From 54°F (12.2°C) to 52°F (11.1°C)

This slow, controlled slope mimics ideal curing conditions, allowing chlorophyll to break down naturally while preserving terpenes and cannabinoids.

🛑 Hold Mode & Long-Term Storage

After the Cure Cycle completes, the unit enters Hold Mode. Hold Mode is functionally identical to Standby Mode — both maintain 60% Relative Humidity, ideal for ongoing curing and long-term preservation.
